Business and Marketplace.
A member of the European Union, Prague is home to many international companies and over 20 Chambers of Commerce and Trade Commissions. The business language is still officially Czech; however, English has become widely spoken as more and more international companies have taken up residence here.
The currency is the Czech Crown (Kc) and credit cards are accepted in most places. Prague’s main trades include metals and machinery, car manufacturing, engineering, electronics, chemicals, tourism, food and of course beer, where the distilling and exporting of Czech beer is just as vital to the economy as it is to all of us who love the taste of it!
