It is never a bad idea to spend a day in the zoo with your kids, especially if it is Prague Zoo, ranked 7 in the list of world’s best zoos. About 4,600 animals from 630 species live in the zoo which occupies an area of 57 hectares (approximately 114 football fields).
Elephants, wild cats and polar bears are the typical magnets that attract thousands of visitors each year but the Prague Zoo is also home to rare species such as the Przewalski’s horses and has got an artificial Indonesian rain forest with macaques and orang-utans. However there is also a petting zoo. It will easily keep your kids busy for a whole day.
