Tourist information centers are always a good and convenient way to get on-hand information about a new city.
In most cases they offer free maps and mark down the places of interest for you. So if you are lost or need extra information, you know where to ask.
The main tourist information office in Prague is at the Old Town Square.

Tourists in Prague can also visit the new tourist information center close to the popular route from Wenceslas Square to the Old Town Square; it’s near the Estate Theatre.
