Serving as the only international airport in the Czech Republic, it is no wonder Prague’s Ruzynĕ Airport handles almost all of the republics daily flights and passengers.  Situated 17 kilometers from the city center, the airport consists of two passenger terminals.

Terminal North 1 serves flights to/from non-Schengen Agreement countries including Ireland, the UK, and non-European destinations.  Terminal North 2 is used primarily for flights to/from Schengen countries as well as Switzerland, Iceland, and Norway.

Major airlines flying Prague’s Ruzynĕ International Airport include; Aer Lingus, Air France, British Airways, Czech Airlines, EasyJet, KLM, and Lufthansa to name a few.  Upon arrival, passengers can find ATM’s, accommodation information, car-hire agencies, public transport information, as well as 24 hour luggage storage in the arrival halls.  The airport currently handles about 250 flights a day and 12 million passengers a year, making it the busiest in Central and Eastern Europe.

There is no train or subway at the airport. Reaching the city center by public transport will require about 45 minute’s time. Take bus No 119 from the airport terminal to the Dejvická metro stop (Line A). Transfer to the metro and continue to the city center. Taxi rides to the city center will take abut 30 minutes and cost approximately 650Kč.
