Mariánské Lázne.

The Czech spa Mariánské Lázně lies in a valley with numerous healing streams spouting from the ground. The original baths were constructed in the 19th century, but it had been already in the Middle Ages that monks first recognized the beneficial power of the natural springs.

Up till today international visitors come here for drinking and bathing cures. Placed in a pseudo-Baroque colonnade, built in 1889, is the spa’s main promenade with the different springs’ water piped in for drinking cures.

The spa pavilions in Mariánské Lázně were mostly built in classicist and neo-Renaissance style, while most of the other buildings in the spa town bear imprints of Art Nouveau.
Having toured Prague, relaxation is only a two-hour drive away.

An informative website worth a click is the town’s website.
